Once confirmed open and available please refer to our website for google map link, signage will be posted at the gate and parking will be marked out.

Please plan to arrive at least an hour prior to posted weekly closing time to allow adequate time to check in with our office staff and allow yourself adequate time for picking.

Please check in at the site office trailer upon arrival. We will answer any questions you may have, weigh your containers and assign a designated row and section within the orchard for picking. We would also be happy to go over the different varieties available to you within the orchard and offer a few tasting samples.

If we are currently with other guest in the orchard, please be patient and review the orchard requirements posted onsite.

Guests entering the orchard (including parking areas, site roadways/access, office, portable outhouse etc.) do so at their own risk and 1017 Orchards and its Operators will not accept liability for any loss or injury should you choose to visit. 1017 Orchards has taken reasonable steps to mitigate such risks however these risks cannot be fully eliminated.

Please watch your footing when entering or exiting the office trailer and walking in and around the orchard. Ground and surface conditions may be uneven, rough, slippery, or muddy in and around the orchard field, parking areas, and other facilities so take care.

We do have limited containers and pails available for purchase, we encourage everyone to bring your own approved food safe containers. Only approved food safe containers will be permitted within the orchard.

For those people picking berries in the orchard, you are allowed to taste and sample a few berries, but we ask that you use your discretion with your consumption.

Most of the larger tastier berries are hidden under the branches and leaves of the plant. Carefully use one hand to hold the branch and the other to pick the berries. Pick all the berries on the plant before moving on to the next one. This helps to ensure all pickers have plants loaded with berries to pick, rather than only berries you left behind. Please do not waste fruit, and never shake the plants.

No taking of any Haskap cuttings or clippings, even if already broken removal of any Haskap cuttings or clippings is strictly prohibited.

All children, babies and toddlers alike must be supervised and within 3m of the parent, teacher, caretaker, or guardian at all times. Please ensure children do not run through or jump over plant rows as this can knock off berries and damage plants.

Sorry but absolutely NO PETS are allowed in the orchard. Please plan to leave them at home and if you must bring them with you, please leave them in your vehicle.

There is NO SMOKING allowed anywhere on the premises.

For you convenience a portable outhouse is located on site near the front of the orchard complete with hand sanitizer

The orchard is a rural agricultural setting, wild animals, birds, bees and other insects may be present from time to time. Use due diligence, do not approach and report any wild animal sightings to the office.

For your safety there is a first aid kit located in the site office trailer if required.

We recommend bringing sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, sunglasses, snacks and water, please ensure to pack out all your items.
